John M. Lannom

Mr. Lannom is a lifelong resident of Dyer County, Tennessee. He graduated from The McCallie School, Vanderbilt University and Memphis State University School of Law and commenced his private law practice in Dyersburg in 1978. He is currently senior partner of the law firm, Lannom Coronado Haight PLLC of Dyersburg. Since 1983, his practice has focused on the representation of municipal corporations and businesses. He serves as City attorney to the Cities of Dyersburg, Newbern and Trimble in Tennessee, and is General Counsel to the Dyersburg Electric System and the Northwest Tennessee Regional Port Authority. He is director of the Tennessee Municipal Attorneys Association; a past member of the Advisory Counsel to the University of Tennessee Municipal Technical Advisory Service and serves as pro bono counsel to the Dyersburg-Dyer County Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and a number of non-profit agencies in West Tennessee. In addition to his law practice, Lannom serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Forcum-Lannom, Inc., Secretary of Forcum Lannom Contractors, LLC, Director of First Citizens National Bank, and Board Member of the Dyersburg State Community College Foundation. He is also a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Dyersburg.
